Somebody at B Toys thought about how hippos with birds on their back would be a great toy idea. So they went online and found:
Having slowly stared into the abyss of a really bad idea they gave out a strangled high pitched laugh. They would solve this marketing puzzle! Their now deranged mind set to work – bit by bit carving out cuteness from the horrific muddy, tick infested reality. Their creation is amazing but deep inside there is still something not right.
Hippo Pop has eight birds in his mouth (Red-billed oxpeckers to be precise). Push on his teeth-keys – the birds flutter up and down driven by a fan. You can turn the fan off if you like – but you can’t actually turn the toy off. It’ll just start noisily snoring when in power sleep (this wheezing noise is not mentioned in the manual). For some odd reason the upper octave is on the left hand side of the keyboard and the lower octave on the right no matter if you transpose it. Pick from a number of plastic sounds or a mixture of crashes and fart noises two to each note.
Tapping away on hippo teeth, popping birds up tubes, making a variety of farts – I asked myself is this on par with most professional keyboards I have collected? And gave out a strangled high pitched laugh. It’s better.
I need a laugh when the days are bad. Thanks.
