Kind of like a Prophet One I guess, if the previous bounty of controls was reduced to a churlish clutch of assignable knobs and a little button marked PUSH IT! It felt like waving at somebody through a glass window. I do understand that costs were being cut and Dave Smith did not have large Chinese factories to fall back on. Nevertheless the whole Sequential deal was about American opulence and expense and I just couldn’t see how cut-back+opulence was a winner.
I did work with it for a few years and you can hear that below, but as other larger makers began to re-issue analogue equipment it quickly became a relic of the transitional period and I sold it before it sold me. Now I have a Behringer Pro-1 which does a similar noise but has all its testicles intact. If I were a rich man diddy diddy dum I would buy a Sequential Circuits thing. Hold that breath.
You are hearing a 2015 track from Rhine – the Mopho is making the sequences.
