Thanks to Dean G for a temporary look at this suite. I was not keen to buy it, after a small amount of access I am even less keen. It feels like earlier days of VSTs, when the more virtual knobs and doodads cluttering on the screen the better. Since then people have found ways to reduce the clutter. Or maybe my brain is more cluttered. Either way I’d bring one of these panels up on screen and feel tired.
And then there’s an awful lot of EDM patches which (perhaps unfairly) I hate as EDM represents the pale and safe copy of what electronic music once was. Sure I can make my own patches. They are OK. It’s OK. Maybe it’s a bit like FL Studio. Again there’s nothing wrong with FL I just walked out their door a while ago.
But I think you’re better off not buying 30+ synthesisers that remind you of each other and instead getting ones that have screaming arguments.
I tried to share some constructive feedback to Rob about his UIs, but his head is stuck so far up his ass that he bit my head off in response. You’d think the fact that almost no one even knows who he is anymore might provide him some clues as to where the market has gone, but I guess he doesn’t need the money from selling his software or something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
