Level One is working

Last night I built both a PC executable and web applet of level one, which actually works. The large globe in the centre of the room rotates and broadcasts time signal, the rooms are roomy and the furniture is furnished. The size is 3Mb, taking less than a minute to download. That’s great – I’ve hit June 1st with a space I can now fill with tape recorders, shortwave radios and other crazy noise making toys. If nothing else I know the web version is going to be ready by the September announce date.

Got to get all the tape recorders built as soon as possible. Just completed the ‘ROX A-77′
This is fully redrawn and controls are now all objects. I don’t think all the knobs will actually do something, but they’re there in case.

I’ve had a play with local sounds and am just about ready to try streamed sounds – I have an enormous amount of space banked up on MediaFire that I can use to share the load, so I’ll try that first.

Steve remembered a soft toy rabbit he’d built that’s fully rigged and so I’m adding that to the army in the warren. It’s cute at the moment – we’ll soon fix that.

TO DO: have level one ready to show the exhibitors for their peace of mind. Get the rabbits running. Start getting level 2 in order – it’s way behind. Start animating level 3. Figure out how to make level 4 look right.
