Where Roland and (to a lesser extent) Korg remain shackled by their past, rolling out anxious re-fabrications of the Jupiter 8 et al. the French are in parallel with their new offerings. The <a href=\"https:\/\/nilamox.com\/mancave21\/minifreak-and-minifreak-v-%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%92%a9\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1441\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MiniFreak\/<em>MiniFreak<\/em><\/a> is current in both realms, their <em><a href=\"https:\/\/nilamox.com\/mancave21\/arturia-v-collection-9\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"958\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">V collectio<\/a>n<\/em> can be performed on the new AstroLab keyboard or your laptop &#8211; and here comes a virtual <em><strong>Brute<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; once the code for their analogue hardware &#8211; but as a <strong><em>Lab<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; the software. This is the original MiniBrute but with 8 voice polyphony. Not the PolyBrute &#8211; which has two oscillators expanded to offer morphing and (my <em>bete noir<\/em>e) an extra traditional ladder filter. You do get the recent effects section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The hardware PolyBrute is <a href=\"https:\/\/sounds-for-synths.com\/arturia-polybrute\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sounds-for-synths.com\/arturia-polybrute\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lovely I&#8217;m sure<\/a> &#8211; but the cost is hardly <a href=\"https:\/\/nilamox.com\/mancave21\/fleacore\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"51\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fleacore<\/a>. I&#8217;m sure they have already engineered a complete <em>PolyBrute V<\/em> in software but Marketing would be unimpressed if that got out. No matter &#8211; the <em>MiniBrute V<\/em> creates a grand variety of noise with great flair. Not all virtual analogues are interesting. The good ones have grump or grouch or in this case a certain enunciation which I think is the Steiner filter &#8211; plus the effects which put a gleam over the sound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There&#8217;s nothing profound here. No wavetables (go to<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/nilamox.com\/mancave21\/pigments-2\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"151\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pigments<\/a><\/em> for that &#8211; or <em><a href=\"https:\/\/nilamox.com\/mancave21\/vital-%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%a7%bb%f0%9f%a7%bb\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vital<\/a><\/em> just as much) and no digital malarkey.
